A Special Message from COL Pam Grant, Prep School Principal
GMC Prep School is an extremely special place, and as you will see below, our students and faculty are the very best! We have seen amazing performances this school year in so many areas; they are:
Mixed, Girls, and Boys Raider Teams
The Mixed Raider Team are the 2016 State Champions and were named 1st Runners Up for the National Championship after competing against 25 other Mixed Teams from across the United States! The Boys Team placed 4th at Nationals out of 13 Teams, and the Girls Team placed 5th at Nationals out of 16 teams. There is also an Ultimate Raider Event and our Male Raider placed 4th out of 35 students.
Boys Cross Country
The Boys Cross Country team was the Area Winners and had the 1st and 2nd place runners in the competition; they are now the GHSA Boys State Cross Country Champions!
One Act Play
The One Act Play cast placed first at Area and also took Best Costume, Best Ensemble, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actor, and 3 students were named to the All Star Cast. They went on to become three-time GHSA State Champions and took Best Actor, Best Actress, and had 2 students named to the All Star Cast.
Literary Team
The Literary Team at Georgia Military Colle Prep School are the four-time consecutive state champions for 2015-2018.
Girls Varsity Softball
Our Softball team are Region Champs and 1st Runner Up For the Class A State Championship Title!
Varsity Football
We had a significant improvement in our Varsity Football season! We ended with a record of 4 wins and 6 losses and our boys played their hearts out each game. They never gave up, and they gave 110% until the final second of the game. We had a packed stadium for each home game, and the atmosphere was so upbeat and supportive for our players and coaches.
Bulldog Brigade
The band out did themselves in an awesome performance at their Heart Of Georgia Competition and they placed in all categories and received Excellent and Superior Ratings! They received the following awards: 3rd Place Band, 3rd Place Drum Major, 2nd Place Percussion, and 2nd Place Color Guard and Flag Corps.
Competition Cheerleaders
Our squad was preparing to head to their Area Competition when one of their cheerleaders suffered an injury and was not going to be able to compete. Instead of giving up, the girls pulled together and redid their routine in less than 24 hours, went to Columbus, finished in the top 8 teams out of 15, and earned a spot in the State Competition.
I hope that you will consider making a contribution to one of our many programs or to a class scholarship. We appreciate your support in our shared mission!
